The Conspiracy

Will we ever truly understand what forces conspired to bring us to our current state of affairs? We are supposedly a Christian nation, but Christians keep voting for and believing things that have led to President Donald Trump, who is only the latest political catastrophe. Mike Pence isn't the only person raised in a Christian home with christian values. Most of us were. But where is the disconnect that keeps us voting for what's happening? What keeps us voting for evil and focusing on hatred and death rather than what our actions mean for the living?
Christians knowingly voted for the two worst candidates in the primaries and the general election. Both Republicans and Democrats have been going in the same mean spirited direction. How many feel like this woman:
“One Christian woman named Abigail Hewins has written a testimonial on her own personal blog about her decision to leave her church over its support for Trump’s candidacy. Hewins explains that while her Christian faith is as strong as it’s ever been, she cannot continue supporting an institution that could lend support to a candidate like Trump.
“I watched in horror and disbelief as Christians I love and respect supported a man full of greed, hate, arrogance and prejudice in the name of Jesus Christ,” she writes. “I became disgusted to the point of physical illness when Christians passed off jokes about sexually assaulting women as ‘loose lips’ and ‘locker room talk.’ And then there were those who said nothing — an offense more destructive than any other.” Hewins concludes her story by saying that her goal is to find a new church that views Christian faith as a way of life — not a weapon to be used in political warfare,” Brad Reed reported for Raw Story.
Is there a deliberate effort to steer Christians discussing politics away from this dilemma. When faced with the reality of our current situation can any connection be made to Bible prophesy? This topic is off limits and immediately quarantined. Facebook and Twitter forum slide any post deemed of too sensitive a nature. It seems to be forbidden to describe our current politics in terms spoken of in Revelations and I think the Christian voter must not be reminded what the Bible actually says. The “Mark of the Beast,” and “the Antichrist” are central to the end time prophesies, yet everyone in authority keeps ignoring it.

This is an extremely important voting block and a lot of time and money is spent on influencing them. It must be working. “The 2016 presidential exit polling reveals little change in the political alignments of U.S. religious groups. Those who supported Republican candidates in recent elections, such as white born-again or evangelical Christians and white Catholics, strongly supported Donald Trump as well. Groups that traditionally backed Democratic candidates, including religious “nones,” Hispanic Catholics and Jews, were firmly in Hillary Clinton’s corner,” Gregory A. Smith and Jessica Martinez reported for the Pew Foundation.
While earlier in the campaign some pundits and others questioned whether the thrice- married Trump would earn the bulk of white evangelical support, fully eight-in-ten self- identified white, born-again/evangelical Christians say they voted for Trump, while just 16% voted for Clinton. Trump’s 65-percentage-point margin of victory among voters in this group – which includes self-described Protestants, as well as Catholics, Mormons and others – matched or exceeded the victory margins of George W. Bush in 2004, John McCain in 2008 and Mitt Romney in 2012.
I heard the Vice President talking about his Christian upbringing but if it brought the country down to this, there is too much emphasis on the cross and not enough on living a Christian life. This teaching is all about life AFTER death but was the Lord teaching that exclusively? There is much to be done before death.
Matthew 19:21 KJV
[21] Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
